DWQA QuestionsCategory: Limiting Beliefs“Zoomers” (teenagers) are taking credit for the recent poor showing at the latest Trump rally. They called and reserved hundreds of thousands of tickets with no intention of attending. This denied those tickets to others and gave the administration false data with which to plan the event. What is the divine perspective on this strategy and behavior?

We can state categorically this is a kind of wrongdoing. It is taking something away from another that has value and harming those who could benefit but will not because of the unavailability of the tickets in question. Even if you disagree with the president and his party about their political aims and strategies, this does not justify what is, in effect, a theft. This is criminal mischief and is, in the bargain, ironic in view of the many accusations against President Trump for alleged collusion with a foreign power to interfere with the 2016 Presidential Election. Individuals carrying out an act of this kind are very much, in effect, interfering with the current Presidential Election—they are restricting choices by members of the opposition party undermining the cultivation of supporters as one potential consequence of their interference. Politics conducted properly allows a vigorous and free debate by the parties involved, but when freedom of speech is denied, the right to gather and participate denied, or subverted through false pretenses, this falls under the category of so-called "dirty tricks" which have a long sordid history with political elections. It is a departure from morally defensible conduct and as such will have karmic consequences and is never appropriate no matter what the perceived shortcomings of one’s opposition. To interfere with the political activities of the opposition is an act of sabotage and wrongdoing.
