Would it be helpful to ask in the Protocol for Creator to instruct the deep subconscious to call on the higher self for help on a regular basis, and give reminders as needed, or would that be denied as leading?

This could be done because it is a general suggestion for upliftment and directing them to a natural source that is a part of themselves, after all. So it is the restoration of a birthright to be whole and the persons themselves are unaware of the disconnect so it is not working against an inner desire or conclusion or belief in place that one must be disconnected from higher self. You have hit the nail on the head with this. This is all it will take to start a process of self-healing that can grow and grow and grow, provided the deep subconscious of a person is up to the task. There are some individuals so corrupted and so distorted their mind cannot function normally and this will pose greater obstacles to their betterment, but the vast majority of people will be able to make great gains with this simple idea put into motion.
