These are all demonstrated benefits of this approach and reflect the broad-based mix of beneficial outcomes, each of which contribute something to the overall goal of relieving signs and symptoms of a medical condition that can be quite severe, and at a minimum, interfere with productivity and life quality. People in pain tend to become less mobile, less willing to do many things they are accustomed to be doing, and with each withdrawal from prior habit their life narrows in its effectiveness and enjoyment as well. To the extent people can become symptom-free it will not only bring greater happiness, but their greater activity will also promote well-being and resilience. This is how longevity gets enhanced and that is a little-studied action, that people with chronic debilitating conditions have shorter lives than they would otherwise if their symptoms were better managed or eliminated.
