This is an interesting real-world example of the phenomena of mind control at work in controlling fields of scientific inquiry. It is not just that people's minds are blocked to have an interest in a particular area, they have an active negative attitude and need deep within to reject any foray into the area in question, and will roundly criticize anyone who attempts to do so. This goes beyond merely having personal interests and wanting to not become involved in areas outside what one gets excited about, there is an active avoidance altogether of anything related to those topics and approaches considered to be "taboo." It is as though someone proposing doing something in that arena, or showing results of studies they have done, has broken a rule and exhibited reckless conduct, in addition to being idiotic, to consider such a thing worthwhile. That is the power of mind control, to sculpt very strong negative and self-limiting beliefs of all kinds that constrain people from accepting new ideas, and daring to venture beyond the fence around them such beliefs create, to keep people subjugated and suppressed and limited in their options, by limiting their thinking and what it allows a person to accept in terms of their own energies and choices, and those of others.
