We would say 60% of intermittent asthma is triggered by a virus initially, and that creates situations due to individual variability where they might be vulnerable to a particular environmental insult or a karmic trigger of some kind, and that will not be necessarily frequent depending on the level of sensitivity of the person and the range of stimuli that can get symptoms started. In general, it is the more severe cases that are viral, regardless of type.
