What this provides is, in a sense, the opposite of re-live when working on trauma memories. When the subject relives a terrible experience and has a reoccurrence of the negative emotions that took place and rose up within, experiencing that again through re-live can be harrowing and quite unpleasant. And this drives clients away many times because it is hard for them to face the fears about what took place, and the last thing they want to do is to relive the experience. Using the healing process and imagery of Compassion Key provides somewhat the opposite. As opposed to being a more neutral and theoretical construct in providing a replacement strategy for the dilemma of the trauma scene, empowering the client to have generated within them the power of love and bringing that to bear themselves, will feel truly liberating for many. And while that, in a sense, is also a staged playacting because it is well after the fact, what matters is making the person in the current life moment whole again, and feel comfortable in their own skin, and letting go of their judgment and pain from all they went through, and perhaps blamed themselves about. So instituting self-love from the high perspective and vision is also inviting the divine to chime in and that adds extra energy and feeling, to make it seem extra special so that is a bonus. It is not, technically speaking, essential for healing to happen, but can give a powerful and enjoyable experience for the client. And, after all, that is what they are paying for, to have some sense they are going to be helped and that it is real.
