We have learned that some skills, muscle memory, and other proclivities we call natural talent, can be recorded in the akashic records, and re-introduced into the cellular consciousness of a new body in a new incarnation. This is how natural talent can be carried over from lifetime to lifetime. What about the ego? Is it also recorded in the akashic records and re-introduced in some fashion to a new incarnation? Is it, like karma and physical talent, left behind when one becomes a light being but re acquired upon a new incarnation (so the incarnating soul can essentially pick up where they left off)? Is the ego truly left behind when the departing consciousness enters the light and is it one of the big reasons there is more wisdom and clarity as light beings? Or is the ego of a particular lifetime utterly lost upon transition, and new incarnations start off with an essentially blank ego?

The ego is not stored within the akashic records, that is more akin to a recording of all that happens. It has much stored energetically, representing many aspects of the events unfolding by each individual and the interplay they have with many, many others. This is how the Law of Karma can assign meaning, the relative degree of suffering or harm inflicted on the self and others, and so on, but that, too, is a reflection of prior events and not part and parcel of the makeup of those interacting players. They do not leave their flesh and blood on deposit as a consequence of a skirmish, for example, but an energetic signature that will be connected to them and their soul energy wherever it goes. Because the ego is a part of your being, which consists of consciousness, it goes where you go, so when you return to the light all of your consciousness goes back with you. There will be a reconfiguration because you will be in a new realm, on a higher plane, and disconnected, finally, from the influences of the physical, including the workings and limits of the body and all of the cultural influences you are subjected to during life, not to mention fellow beings in that difficult setting of high-density and levels of negativity. Because the ego is a part of your consciousness, it is, like everything else about you, an extension of your soul, so it goes where you go and on a return to the light it goes with you. That does not mean it is unaffected and might perform and react and be utilized the same way you might do as a physical being in a tough situation where you are in over your head and pushed to the limit, and so on. The environment of the heavenly realm is quite different and much like an old friend you understand thoroughly and will readapt to with little difficulty in most cases—anything you need in order to do so, you will be assisted with. When you come back into life in a new incarnation, your ego will come with you as an aspect of your consciousness that defines who you are as the foundation, and that includes the full array of soul attributes that might be reconfigured differently in a custom fashion to better suit a particular goal or life plan and, as such, the nature of your ego may be somewhat altered as well, and so that goes with all of your makeup, that it is malleable, and this is because all human beings have vastly greater capability than is reflected by their physical selves. Whether they are a genius or a simpleton, those circumstances are a function of physical existence and its constraints, likely with the help of prelife planning to have an outstanding talent of some kind in some cases, or an innate vulnerability to a buildup of negative karma that might well cause a great adversity to limit the person and provide a life lesson through suffering or limitation. These factors will be impinged on by many circumstances including, of course, the environment most importantly, at the outset, the family group one is joining and how they might influence you, your adaptation to life yet again, starting from scratch with respect to memory and awareness but not truly being a "blank slate" ever because you are an expression of a soul and many old souls have been in existence for billions of years going back before the start of the current universe. While you will only have a tiny part of the learning from such a vast experience base, there will be aspects that serve you, and those are the kinds of things discussed and decided in the light before each outing. So in terms of being a "blank slate," that description holds for conscious awareness and understanding because you will have no clue about who you are, where you came from, and why, as an infant, and will only feel you are starting out from scratch and, in effect, your lack of memory and greater awareness is a serious impediment that puts you at a great disadvantage and was not a part of Creator's Plan for you—starting out in ignorance is because of the defective physical makeup that limits your ability to connect to higher awareness.
