She was partially correct. She was correct there were things left undone. She was not correct that he failed, because he did accomplish many, many things. It was only that there were certain spirits with a particularly strong karmic tie to the location and having strong aversion to the light that posed an extra challenge and, for this, the belief quotient was not quite adequate to get over the hump, so to speak. And so, this was not a failing per se; it was a matter of degree. It is no different than any other human undertaking. Some will be stronger, some will be more effective, some will be more thorough, some will be quicker. It is all a matter of individual ability and experience to develop the requisite tools and capabilities.
He need not fear this is a diagnosis of inadequacy, in any respect. Most of your students do flounder a bit in the beginning because of their lack of experience and that is all it is. There is no problem here with belief, and the intuitive reach is perfectly adequate to get some sensing of things; this can also grow, over time. To feel inadequate and to see this as a reason to hold up and not move further would be a tragic loss, because he has great potential to do well with this work if he remains conscientious and applies himself. So this is, to be sure, an unusual beginning to be outclassed by his 11-year-old, but it is what it is and he can certainly take delight in her prowess.
Even as a youngster, this is not at all unusual, as you know, because the young typically have highly developed intuitive ability inherent in their makeup and, only after years of being ignored and threatened in one way or another do they suppress this and then it fades through disuse. She has not had that experience and is open, still. This is a beautiful opportunity for her to gain further confidence and pursue interests she might have. This is a two-way street, as you know, that all intuitive work has a potential for coming up on the radar of the cabal, but this is unlikely to be a significant issue for her, as being a child and engaged on a very low level as she dabbles with this from time to time, it will not pose a risk.
So this is something for her and the parents to decide if they can be supportive. The risk here is great that she may be thwarted and develop a negative attitude that would color her perspective of divine work and the divine agenda. And it would be most unfortunate to discourage her in any way. Having had direct involvement and awareness of these paranormal phenomena, you cannot put the genie back in the bottle, so to speak. She has already come out in the open and embraced the world most directly and taken on difficult challenges.
And, of course, she had superb parental guidance in this with a loving and very sensitive and understanding father, who was ideally suited to support her and to be sure things were safe. And this creates an ideal environment to allow further exploration if all involved are in agreement. This they will need to work out. The only risk here is to her self-image and the potential loss of a genuine talent if it is criticized or deemed dangerous by the parents. This is in the control of the parents themselves and, hopefully, they will make a wise decision.
