His psychic perceptions were meaningful and correctly interpreted for the most part. His level of understanding of the paranormal phenomena he was experiencing was somewhat limited as he was largely self-taught and, as you know, people can misunderstand what they are tapping into. But much of it was intuitive knowings so at least he had the correct inner understanding of a basic reason for what he was involved with and, even without words yet in the language, was able to describe things reasonably well and provide a useful basic knowledge of many spirit phenomena and the workings of consciousness, to some extent, although not appreciated from a scientific perspective given the early era in which he lived.
