This was truly ancient, although Post-Flood Era construction, and was done by the extraterrestrials themselves to provide a kind of headquarters for their representatives in the region. Its remoteness figured in the logistics of being a haven under control of the extraterrestrials alone, but a place where they could bring human representatives to impress them as a demonstration of their advanced capabilities truly being ultra-modern, and thus otherworldly, compared to human dwellings of that era. This was a time nearing the end of the era when the Anunnaki were appearing out in the open to interact with human beings, and thus the site was abandoned by them when it no longer was needed in serving them.
There was much damage done and material removed to mask the true nature and magnitude of these ruins in keeping with the secretive agenda of the extraterrestrials. Their agenda is a totally self-serving one. They desire to do nothing to help humanity, but only exploit it, and will often go out of their way to impede human progress and well‑being because of their perversity in enjoying human suffering, because it glorifies their own self-importance, as relishing power is one of the few pleasures they can indulge in due to their abnormal psychological makeup from millions of years of corruption by evil intentioned dark spirits. Being atheists, they have lost the ability to love which comes from the Almighty. That dark influence is both profound and tragic and needs to be seen as an example of what can happen to any civilization in giving up a link to God.
