DWQA QuestionsCategory: HealingThe viewer also asks: “Why the lack of motivation or is motivation even an issue?”
Nicola Staff asked 4 years ago
This seeming lack of motivation is lack of energy and that is what is keeping her in a kind of suspension. It is for self-preservation and reconstituting her system by husbanding her resources, so to speak, and is a natural component of homeostatic regulation of the body when subjected to severe stress and this is always an accompaniment to surgical interventions of any kind, as well as anesthesia. It will take a toll on the body for a while until the body can bounce back and reach higher levels of functioning once again. That can happen here and will not be destroyed by how she is being treated with respect to visitors. It is not necessarily a portent of serious worsening of things. There are often ups and downs in a recovery phase following any kind of intervention by physicians and surgeons.
