You are recounting the factors involved with this phenomenon quite accurately and with precision. It is very much the case that the suicides have a sinister origin. This is almost always true, that it is the interlopers and their influence bringing about such drastic self-destruction. This is not the act of a normal, rational, person. The assumption is always made that the person has given up, having become unbalanced in some way, suffering so deeply from depression, losing their will to live and wanting to escape, even at the cost of their life, and in fact grow to see that as a positive solution. Nonetheless, it takes quite a severe state of mental disarray to enable a person to go against all of their natural impulses and instincts, as well as divine cautions to them as reminders of their responsibility. So the rash act is unnatural to begin with. The case in question is very much sinister because the vast majority of people who commit suicide are primed in various ways to reach that severe mental state when it seems the lesser of evils, and then the deed is done.
Because humans have become accustomed to seeing this happen over and over again, there are so many, it is so commonplace, it is natural to assume this is a normal part of life for many individuals who cannot handle the stress and strain of life, or were failures. Whatever the reason for wanting to escape, even the most surprising examples can be roundly dismissed by those outside the intimate inner circle as almost certainly being inner torment not visible on the surface, that the person was reaching extremes of suffering and then chose to take the drastic action without warning. In most cases, family members, shocked and surprised, will assume this same thing as a way of rationalizing what has happened. After all, the demise of the person is unmistakable, and when there is no sign of foul play, it is easier for the mind of loved ones to accept this was what the person wanted in some way than some phantom mysterious force being able to reach in and take away a loved one and leave no trace.
The sad reality is that is, in fact, what is going on, that this is happening to more and more people. It is a way to thin the herd, so to speak, and pave the way for more wholesale annihilation. It is also affecting many of the young and many of the young males, as you have discussed with your colleagues, who are the potential protectors who could delay and resist a mop-up operation to finalize the removal of all remaining humans in the aftermath of a cataclysmic series of events orchestrated through natural disasters followed by direct attacks using the mercenary army of humans trained to kill. So this increased incidence of suicides is quite sinister and paving the way for human destruction on a bigger scale.
