The spiritual healer known as “John of God” has been accused of running a sex slave farm and selling babies to the highest bidder on the black market. Is that true? Was he ever in divine alignment and facilitating true divine healing for the many who came to him for treatment? What happened to corrupt him?

We do not wish to weigh in on forensic matters here, but we can tell you that he has been involved in many such improprieties where people were harmed. He started out very much in divine alignment during his life and has helped many, many people with healing. This has varied over time as his alignment wavered. This is true for most individuals, almost all in fact, so this in itself is not a fault. People are only human and will vary from day to day, even from moment to moment in their inner resolve and strength, level of energy, and energetic alignment with the divine. This can’t be helped. So he was not intentionally wanting to scam people, but to truly be an instrument of the divine to bring healing directly and that has been a blessing for many. The corruption that has happened, as is usually the case, was a consequence of ego, that he was taking too great a personal satisfaction in all that happened and sought the accolades of followers as a kind of extra spice. That became a slippery slope and he succumbed to a number of temptations to trade on his image, to get extra things for himself and extra privileges, and to step over the line in terms of personal conduct, and when this was not reined in or punished by the divine realm, he convinced himself that he was privileged by virtue of his virtue, and this was a self-delusion, but cost him dearly. As you know, we cannot rein anyone in unless they listen to their guidance. When they are blind to warnings from within because their ego reward is too great and they give that too much importance, they will be vulnerable to a misstep that costs them in the end. So he is a good example of someone becoming too self-important and as a consequence grew out of divine alignment more and more. We cannot reward false thinking or contribute in an undertaking by someone who is not in alignment. We must back away and this will reduce their true effectiveness and leave them vulnerable to ever greater corruption by competing influences from the darkness—that is tragic but is simply a consequence of energy at work. This is why when we say, "humans are in charge," we mean it. It is they who must stand strong. It is they who must choose wisely their thoughts, their feelings, and their actions to maintain the divine path and not waver because things can start to compound and drag them downward with increasing speed, and this leads to tragedy in the end.
