Some people think it’s appropriate to re-introduce and provide legal protection for predator species like the wolf and mountain lion. Is this a good idea?

This is a human question to answer as this is your domain. We can tell you that these species were both extraterrestrial introductions into your world to cause trouble. It is the major reason why there is not abundant wildlife of all kinds roaming the planet. In view of the huge human population, this would pose as many problems as solutions, but the absence of the predators could be handled quite nicely through human management alone and there could be a nice new balance of the ecosystem, to have a gentler world in many respects. The perpetuation of predator species in that context is a kind of folly, because it preserves an extraterrestrial manipulation and not something that is intended to be a part of nature in the first place. It is not part of Creator’s plan for these harsh species to be amongst you. So this is a human choice. It will be decided by humans and that is as it should be.
