DWQA QuestionsCategory: Limiting BeliefsShaming can be seen as an assault on another person’s belief system. The one doing the shaming is trying to demonstrate that the belief being challenged is false or deficient in some way. This can be where there is power in numbers, and the more people that can be enlisted in joining the one attempting to shame, the more profound the shame actually experienced by the recipient can be. It’s not an exaggeration that profound public shaming and embarrassment can lead to both suicide and homicide. And while psychopaths are said to lack a conscience, shaming one publicly might be the last thing you ever do. What can Creator tell us?

This illustration of the seriousness of the experiencing of shame, and the ease with which many seek to inflict a shaming on others, is a reminder of the fact that this emotion is one of the worst states of being one can have, and this is why anything involving shame on the part of anyone is such a serious matter and, in fact, it can rise to the level of a "capital offense," so-called, when people resort to the killing of another or themselves in order to escape the torment of living in the experiencing of unrelenting shame. This is something deserving of serious thought and consideration, to stop and think before lashing out at others with an intent to shame them, and especially in front of others as witnesses to compound the intensity, and hence the level of damage that will likely result. Feeling shame is a trauma event and it will be remembered, recorded for all of time, and will be brought back to awareness again and again and again. That keeps the punishment coming, and while this action of the Law of Karma can be quite a force to reckon with, even leading to the need to escape one's life in the most extreme sanction of suicide, the purpose is not to punish but to provide an incentive for the person to reconsider what happened in the prior episode being recalled and to seek a way out, a solution for the imbalance it created, and seek restitution through perhaps an act of contrition or forgiveness, as the case might be. That is the ideal outcome and not often achieved, but this is because many times there is a poor understanding of what has happened and why. Many past events are felt by the deep subconscious and not in conscious awareness at all, so there is no way to seek healing and arrive at a solution to rebalance what happened and take the pain away. This is a flaw in the makeup of the current human being, that you are cut off from the deepest part of your mind. This is your greatest handicap and the biggest dilemma you face because the largest part of your mind is largely suffering and not serving you in the powerful way that it could if all levels of your mind were working together and not segmented into separate domains, often unaware or poorly aware of one another. The best analogy we could give you is that you are functionally much like a quadriplegic when it comes to thoughts, feelings, and actions because so much of your being is out of mind, and thus not in your direct control, nor will you understand the wide array of feelings and your reactions to life events as they happen. Many will be inappropriate or inadequate to truly deal with a challenge you are facing. That ignorance is an obstacle to progress, at a minimum, and it may well condemn you to lifelong suffering and even having the entire life be a kind of setback by creating more negative karmic trauma than it resolves. This points to the need universally for high-level divine healing to right the wrongs of the past. This is why enlightenment is not simply the gaining of spiritual knowledge but the application of healing to what has taken you out of divine alignment, largely from the many past lifetimes of struggle. This has literally taken you away from the light. To become enlightened is a return to divine principles and regaining the high ground in learning to live in ways that keep you in divine alignment, alignment with the light, literally, as a measure of divinity. Everyone needs help with this.
