This is very much the case, unfortunately. So this creates a dilemma. His problems will not be easy to shift nor will this happen quickly. In many such cases it is a holding action at best that can be achieved, pending better resolution for the underlying issues with the interlopers and the goal of their withdrawal. That will definitely change things for the better, but that is sometime in the future yet and will not be a near-term benefit for this and many other individuals. These are simply the cards being dealt here. We wish there were an easier and more optimistic solution. As you know, we always vote in favor of giving help because there will be karmic benefits regardless of changes in symptoms, and that includes any situation, regardless of the perceived quality of life. And even in cases where life is prematurely cut short because of the suffering, that does not mean failure to benefit the person, only the most immediate hoped-for goal of turning things around in the current life. We can tell you that his well-being is assured in the future already because of the work done on his behalf to reduce the karmic burdens and that is highly meaningful in the grand scheme of things, but is of small comfort when he is suffering visibly, and the costs continue to mount with continued support of the healing efforts underway. So this is a decision that will be made by the family and cannot be controlled. Time will tell what you will be allowed to do or not, as the case may be. We see the ongoing work as beneficial and this will only be greater using the revised protocol, at least for a time, to get the greatly magnified benefits it offers.
