This is very true, and the balance of power was shifted through divine intervention because it was such a crafty and ferocious predator and its lust for killing was truly excessive. It would kill everything it found, whether to eat it or not, and this was not only foreign and a great hazard, it was excessive with respect to any reasonable balance of nature, and this was the reason for the divine intervention. We have saved humanity from many calamities, and it is when things get to the level approaching extermination that this may happen. There is always a human outcry however, and that is a necessary ingredient. It is not done solely out of compassion. Although compassion is always felt by us, we must stay within our rules to not interfere and allow humans full choice in what they want to have happen. There must also be direct requests of us to receive divine intervention, and this will remain so.
