The fact that they will never quite engage and then make a serious investigation, will not be stated and nonetheless will not likely happen. She cannot rely on the authorities to be of any assistance here, and it is likely that should she engage with police follow-up it, will put her more visibly in the crosshairs of the opposition, and in a sense, it may inflame their passions and ramp up the energy of negativity. So they may up the ante, so to speak, and then things may get much, much worse. This she does not want. This would be an important caution to relay to her. It is not wise to fight fire with fire when dealing with lawless people with no conscience, who have the money, the time, and opportunity, to out-fight and overwhelm their target if they need to.
