While you are reluctant to engage in politics in asking such a question, it is because you are seeing, intuitively, there is something to be said for living in a red state as opposed to a blue state, so to speak. The benefit is not necessarily the political leanings and policies of one political party versus another, but indeed what you are seeing is a deeper truth, the influence of a large percent of the population still believing in the divine and seeking divine help with their prayers in the case of conservatives as opposed to the movement of the left which rejects religion as having any place in their political platform. That lack of a belief will limit their effectiveness, as well as their own personal progress as individuals. This is always the case, that those who turn away from the divine in disbelief are starting out on a slippery slope and will eventually pay a huge price if they cannot find their way back.
It is no wonder, then, that regions that follow such leaders and the institutions under that governance giving not only no support for religious perspectives and institutions but implementing policies to work against them to try and suppress religious observance and support for their activities, this has many consequences. For one thing, it serves to create a state of segregation, where those with religious leanings and believes might well feel unwelcome and leave the area seeking a more friendly climate, moving to a state where worship is supported and admired as not only constitutionally protected from a legal perspective, but something to be admired and encouraged as the hallmark of good citizenship and a sign that the individuals in question are morally upright and trustworthy. For the most part, this is true. Every barrel has bad apples, so to speak, but those are exceptions to the rule, always, and the question is, who has the most exceptions and who has the least?
As we have said many times, divine intervention is only allowable when there is human intention requesting and supporting its involvement. Nonbelievers are segregating themselves from us categorically, and we cannot go against their wishes unless someone else with a differing perspective is an advocate in wanting help for them. With all the political divisiveness there are fewer and fewer prayers by Republicans on behalf of Democrats. This used to be very common, when spiritually inclined Republicans would pray for left-leaning Democrats acting in a godless fashion, to help them be raised up and see the shortcomings in their perspectives. But the increasing bad blood between the parties has rubbed people the wrong way and frayed nerves to such an extent, all are reluctant to be generous when it comes to their political opponents. This is a tragic loss that is worsening things. But in the meantime, those who still have belief in the divine will be benefiting from their partnership with us, and the nonbelievers for the most part will be on their own.
