These bugs are not dangerous although they are destructive to some useful vegetation. They are more of a nuisance and a quite horrifying one to many faced with infestations of these bugs in the hundreds or thousands when they move indoors and then represent a huge cleanup dilemma. There is little human can do at this point until an effective eradication strategy is ultimately identified. At the present time, this may be slow in coming for the usual reasons, that research is interfered with to slow down human progress, and this is especially true when extraterrestrial-induced or -created hazards are involved like weather modification and the insect vectors carrying deadly disease.
