There is no going back for most in such compromising positions. They will do anything, tell any lie, commit any act ordered for them to carry out even serious betrayals and criminality because they will be desperate to avoid ruin and a public shaming that would follow from a disclosure about their dark involvement. It is very telling that what is, in effect, a sideline of the Anunnaki and the other extraterrestrials is one of the most heinous and evil series of practices in existence.
