This is very much the case and is why you thought of it. You are seeing intuitively the deeper issue here. So this adds an additional avenue for helping her to progress because focusing on that aspect will pay off. As you know, there is a complex dynamic whenever the mind becomes corrupted in some way or another. Any dysfunction is a kind of trauma and that, in turn, adds to the problem and complicates healing. And those further worsenings are often amplified by the Law of Karma in seeing the prior history of the individual and many things that resonate with the current life dilemma. So a perturbation of brain function through a chronic viral presence capable of inducing a state of clinical depression will have many consequences for the individual. And this will raise many additional concerns and fears and will stir up much old karmic business because depression is a frequent problem for human beings and has been throughout human history, given that life can be quite challenging and painful at times and people, eventually, will have a kind of self-defensive shutdown to minimize the torment of a troubled life, and that becomes a state of depression, a kind of numbing. The person, in effect, is trying to hide out from their problems, but this of course brings no benefit of a true sort. Eventually, the person will have to find a way to function or will suffer further from being a drain on others and they will certainly not be growing and progressing with their life journey in ways that will lead to happiness and success. Depression is not a springboard for learning and growth but a kind of mental quicksand that can trap a person into being nonproductive until they can break free. The use of supplements here with antiviral activity would be of benefit in speeding recovery, but this will still take time and whether the individual involved would cooperate with a speculative, seeming conjecture, outside the mainstream understanding of psychological problems, would have to be reckoned with. We do not see that it is essential, in any case, in order to make progress.
