In the movie Jurassic Park, the velociraptor was portrayed as an extremely intelligent apex predator. Was this an accurate portrayal of actual velociraptors?

This was a correct depiction, that these were indeed creatures capable of fearsome attacks. Their level of intelligence was somewhat exaggerated but they were certainly formidable in physical agility, strength, and animal cunning, and like the other carnivorous species, were quite effective predators. This again was essential to the task of representing a recapitulation of the predatory Anunnaki who preyed on humans and other creatures in the environment during their subjugation of humanity during the First Human Era.
