We see these constituents as being safe for young children but would not recommend use in infants. The very early stages of development are sensitive to perturbation before the body becomes more robust and resilient after the first several years of life. For older children, the problem is more getting them to ingest such materials, but that can often be met through clever strategies to mix in with food and so on. Taking large capsules will not be feasible in very young children, for example, but there will be workarounds, and again we are assuming that the motivation would be the existence of a likely viral condition to justify treating such young people.
