DWQA QuestionsCategory: CreatorHe asks: “Some people have stated that Santa is an allegory for God. While I can see the similarities, I feel that in this case, Santa is his own person and not just an allegory. What is the truth? What is the divine perspective and important to know?”

Here again, we can simply tell you that the idea of Santa Claus can be expressed in a myriad of ways. You, too can be a Santa Claus and, in effect, each human being brought into existence to incarnate on the earth has this in their charter, to either be or work towards the helping of others as well as the self. This can be only the gift of time and attention in honoring someone else's existence, to spend time with them, listen to their story, and perhaps bestow kind, supporting, thoughts and gestures if a material benefit is not practical. This is the basic idea of God that has been perverted by formal religions in describing God as a kind of ultimate Emperor or ruler, who judges and decides everything, and either chooses to make things happen or not, and humans are essentially powerless unless God wills something to be so. That is a perversion, because our wish for you is for you to express your divinity, so you can be our Santa Claus to bring love to others and that can take countless forms. So there is not one Santa Claus but many. The human dilemma is that so few are aware it is within their reach to accomplish acts of greatness. That is how we see loving kindness, as an act of greatness. Instead, they are waiting for a Santa Claus to come, thinking that is the only way they will get something nice. If you want that to happen, you must reach out to us with necessary belief and with specific requests that are balanced and appropriate, and will bring a betterment and not a selfish reward that might be undeserved, or harm to the self or others. This is a human choice to make and, in effect, is a good metaphor representing the formation of the divine-human partnership we talk about over and over as the ideal goal in life, to make the most of it.
