DWQA QuestionsCategory: Divine GuidanceFor members of the New Age spiritual community, is asking their spirit guides enough for them to get divine help?

The spirit guides being assigned by the divine are a link to the divine realm to be sure. The difficulty here is what people think of as their spirit guide. If they view it as a non-divine being because they do not value the divine realm or recognize its standing, then any being in spirit form will do. And this, as you can imagine, is quite dangerous because anyone can step in to assume the role of spirit guide for the requester, and you can be sure that imposters seeking to undermine them will be quite happy to assume that presumed duty to the detriment of the human in the living. When people reach out to a spirit guide, who at the same time are in spiritual alignment and want this to be a divine interaction, they will more readily connect with the true spirit guides available to them and assigned during the preparation for the incarnation. So this is one step up the ladder, so to speak, and is better than leaving the identity completely uncertain as to who needs to respond to the request. It nonetheless is quite limiting if one reaches out to the spirit guide, thinking of them as the be-all and end-all to receive support. The spirit guide must shoulder the burden of everything the person requests and will not be able to call on further divine assistance. This is the great limitation in not understanding levels of responsibility and the way the divine realm works. When people interact in an optimal fashion, starting at the top and going down from there, that is the highest and best way, because then all options are available to bring assistance, including intervention by Creator directly. So people sell themselves short when they believe they understand all they need to do, but it is only a lower-level interaction that may not be fully up to the task.
