This we have discussed with you, that science has a blind spot regarding the moral arena because it is devoid of useful tools to probe it meaningfully, because that can only be done from a perspective of understanding the existence of the divine, your relationship to the divine, and the meaning of existence in terms of your true origins and purpose. So science is working in a vacuum and long ago decided to accept the reality they faced and simply do not probe such things. It is also the case this would not be allowed, because the interlopers fear your spiritual nature, because the track record of humanity is such that whenever you come together in unison with others for a spiritual purpose, it is often the case that the extraterrestrial controllers see their plans come to naught. They do not understand the true reason this happens, being a divine intervention called forth by humans through prayer, and attribute it solely to the power of human thought. So they simply discourage such practices and have found ways to largely dilute and weaken religious ritual and observance and, being able to judge the results, have found ways to suppress you in spite of your spiritual nature and the tremendous resource that is available to you technically, if you know how to call upon it, to bring forth the divine on your own behalf.
