The main issue in using spring water is to consume it within a short time after collection unless it is kept open to the air. This can easily be done through capping containers with a porous filter of some kind, which could be cloth that is finely woven or any type of particulate filter, simply to keep out dust. This will allow air exchange and the water can be kept for a number of days without any degradation. There are other considerations as well with regard to temperature and other factors energetically in the environment that may impinge, so it is difficult to give a precise expiration date, so to speak, but we can tell you that a two‑week interval is most likely to be quite acceptable without significant degradation provided the water has an ability to have an atmospheric exchange.
