This will very much be the case. There needs to be not only a precipitating event but a series of precipitating events that will be more than troubling, but deeply concerning for even the most stalwart and complacent advisors and government officials. A widespread financial collapse is just the ticket for triggering a tremendous panic and a political rush to find a political solution thinking that, once again, all that is needed is to put a finger in the dike, but this time that strategy will not work, things have gone too far, and there will be a dramatic hemorrhaging and not simply a crack in the dam that is leaking a bit.
