DWQA QuestionsCategory: PrayerAs recounted on DocumentedHealings.com, Joshua was a victim of a drive-by shooting in 1999 and required knee surgery as a result. For the next 19 years, the knee was a source of constant chronic pain, causing him to limp. He encountered a couple on the street doing a healing ministry outreach, where the two of them prayed for anyone they encountered needing healing assistance. Joshua was extremely skeptical but was polite enough to let the ministers pray over him, and for the healing of this knee. To his utter amazement, the pain went away and he could walk again without a limp for the first time in nineteen years. Occasionally, when the weather changes, the knee will complain a little, but overall, he is pain-free and has been for a number of months. Can Creator share the backstory of the healing, why it occurred even when Joshua himself was skeptical?

You have explained the seeming conundrum in your question. The fact he was skeptical of prayer, particularly by strangers, to effect a cure, reflects the lowered belief quotient within him because he was skeptical of his own ability to have prayers answered. This is a frequent problem because divine healing can take time and when someone prays for relief and improvement in their circumstances and it is not forthcoming after a considerable period of time, they may lose faith in the ability of the divine realm to intercede on their behalf at all. The reality is, for some situations, and this includes the consequences of accidental injury or inflicted harm as well as chronic illnesses, there is a karmic underpinning that put forces in motion to bring about the infirmity causing a problem. It is the underlying karma that needs to be healed more so than the body, because the body is simply responding to the karmic forces and the unleashing of discord needing to be dealt with from a rebalancing energetically. The fact that he had doubts does not mean another individual, and in this case a couple with a very high belief quotient, individually and collectively, would be powerless to do anything for him. That is what made the difference, he was no longer trapped in his own lack of belief in himself being an advocate for divine intervention, but was willing to allow these others to step in on his behalf. His skepticism in them was not a deterrent, the only thing that mattered was their spiritual standing with the Almighty, and as seen playing out, was instrumental in restoring healthy functioning for his damaged knee in spite of his skepticism.
