DWQA QuestionsCategory: Extraterrestrial InterlopersAre some benign tumors virus-caused? If so, approximately what percent?
Nicola Staff asked 7 months ago
We would say only a few percent of benign tumors are the result of viral attack. Most are the consequence of oxidative damage within cells of a mild degree that causes changes short of malignant transformation giving rise not only to abnormal cell proliferation but minimal effects on progression as well as the aggressiveness of spread from the original site of production as is characteristic of malignancy.
