Are people who are taken out of their bodies at night to be tortured by spirits at greater risk of becoming earthbound lost souls when they transition?

This is quite true and is very understandable. If they are commandeering the person’s consciousness already, this is a prelude to what will happen when they transition from the body. It will be no different. As happens now, they will emerge and not take the body with them, but they will no longer be tethered and their consciousness will be free-floating in that sense, but can be commandeered and manipulated by the spirits who have trained it to be vulnerable and helpless. This shows you one of the many reasons people become earthbound. This is a particularly unpleasant state of affairs but does illustrate the phenomenon of becoming earthbound quite nicely because the mechanism is on display all along the way during the person’s lifetime, and it shows that it can be a quite easy and even likely destiny following transition for those vulnerable.
