This is very much the case. There is much manipulation of the decisions to become candidates for public office. The individuals drawn to politics are monitored closely and given heavy manipulation. This is a quite deliberate testing stage to see if they can be manipulated in various ways to suspend their own judgment and take action in ways that would not occur normally. If so, they pass the test as hapless subjects for use as minions and then their effectiveness in their role once elected is offset by their hidden control by the true rulers, and this will keep them sidelined to a large extent and ineffectual where they may have support that wavers at key moments or rush to defend something that is inappropriate, and write it off to necessary political debts needing to be paid when they feel in opposition to inner beliefs, and so on.
The many compromises required of a politician to go along to get along, to follow party leader’s instructions come what may, and then do what is needed to make at least a show of paying lip service to the desires of the citizens who elect them, creates quite a few irregularities and uneven performance when viewed from the varying perspectives of those who have a stake in the performance of that leader. This is the arena they inhabit. It is quite an ugly and unforgiving role and will always leave much injury to the soul because the compromises are many, and the motives are mixed, and the manipulation, while unperceived, is nonetheless adding to their negative karma. While many see this as unfair, we see this as simply an inevitable consequence of the energies at hand and whether they come from the person and their actions. This is how karma is orchestrated. You simply cannot say, “I was following orders,” and get off scot-free, and this is the reason there is a moral reckoning always with all actions taken by people in the course of their lifetimes.
Those entering politics are entering an arena to serve more as chess pieces on a board controlled by the hidden hand that will move them about and cause things to happen or to not happen. Their desires will be a subtext at best because most of government plays out in a kind of massive gridlock accomplishing little. There are many ways to hide one’s non-performance and blame it on the system, and this makes sense to the outside observer, but the very fact the system is broken, and gridlock exists is all on their heads singly and collectively. And reasoning people would normally be able to rise above the circumstance, seeing its folly, and work together to find common ground and a way to move forward and accomplish things to whatever extent agreements can be reached to help the nation in a neutral way that does not give undue political gain to the opposition. This is possible in a free society unencumbered by corruption and manipulation from unseen forces.
