Here again, you are seeing quite clearly the breadth and scope of what is possible by the interlopers to see to it they get their way no matter what happens. If one plot fails to materialize, they can bring in another one right on its heels. They think tactically and strategically and will devote great effort to besting humans again and again in multiple ways. This game you speak of, where the Detroit Lions did much better than expected at a key juncture, was a disappointment to the interlopers because they wanted the Lions to fail, but this was prevented through divine intervention, as requested through the Lightworker Healing Protocol efforts you mounted, to help save your favorite team. This was inexplicable to the interlopers but they have seen such things before. They attribute it to some mysterious power, probably from the fans watching the game, so their consciousness has an influence at key moments and thwarts their ability to make bad things happen. It becomes a kind of protective energy. This they do not fully understand and would keenly like to figure out, but that does not mean they will accept a loss.
In this case, they did exactly as you wondered, they found another way to doom the Lions' chances of getting further by keeping them out of the playoffs through orchestrating the loss of a key opponent, and that kept them out of the playoffs in the end, anyway. So the extraterrestrials had the last laugh, so to speak, at the expense of the humans being clueless about any of this dynamic playing out on the athletic field, not realizing it is not just a contest of two football franchises but human beings versus extraterrestrial interlopers and their minions, the dark spirits, who can infest players and do the bidding of the extraterrestrials in distracting and undermining the athletes on command.
