Her daughter is not the reincarnation of her father. What happened was the soul bonding that was occurring in that moment was witnessed by a spirit visitation on the part of the father and he was, in effect, saying hello and adding his presence as a message to you both, that he was delighted she was born and things went smoothly and is looking forward to being with her all during her life to cheer her on, to help support and guide her in whatever way is allowable, because there is a strong love bond owing to the fact these two souls know one another, and the mother as well, through multiple lifetimes together.
