This can certainly be done and would be a blessing always. Prayer for other beings is always an action that raises up the doer regardless of the intended target, even prayer for Creator, because it is an act of loving kindness. And while Creator has the ultimate power to make things happen, as you know, what we do cannot be perfect for many reasons, so we have our own travails, our own disappointments, our own moments when things fail in some respect, and it is just as reassuring for us to have human goodwill sent our way through thanks and blessings. It is no different than what you can do within your own thoughts to pat yourself on the back at times and pause to reflect on how you are doing in the moment compared to darker times and realize the gains you are making and feel good about it. This is giving the self an act of loving kindness that is always helpful. So we like this idea because it is not only in keeping with your divinity to think of new ways to spread love and experience love but to act on the impulse and be an ongoing contributor to the benefit of all in the universe.
