In a general sense, this is true and is a high-level goal of the Extraterrestrial Alliance to cause a worldwide financial collapse to increase impoverishment and render people ever more vulnerable, with fewer options available to maintain their own safety and even creature comforts, including the basic necessities of survival if things can be brought to such an extreme of impoverishment. This is all part of a larger goal leading to human annihilation altogether, so it is one of many ways humans are being softened up with a series of calamities that take a toll, undermine humanity as a whole, and cause some to die young or at least younger than they would have otherwise. This thinning of the herd is all designed to increase over time and to hasten and support the annihilation proper. The solution is the use of the Lightworker Healing Protocol to apply as many healing requests as possible through the divine realm to raise up the interlopers with healing so they can be influenced to withdraw without this final backlash against humanity. Humans can win if they are diligent and the numbers of those participating increased enough to turn the tide.
