Your very description of the types of food you are experimenting with is a very predictable circumstance. Many, many dogs disdain fruits and vegetables, being carnivores by nature. As such, they crave protein in the form of meat, and fat as well, and would much rather ingest carrion, partly spoiled, than fresh fruits and vegetables. Moreover, dogs are constitutionally designed and karmically conditioned to be carnivores, so it is going against the grain to force other kinds of food on them that will be less ideal nutritionally for their species.
