A viewer asks: “In the February 11 Divine Perspectives webinar, Creator talked about state-run welfare programs interfering with a person’s karma if they are the recipient of such programs. I was raised by my parents, and in my church, to share my blessings with others less fortunate. My question for Creator is, am I in divine alignment when I donate to food pantries, or am I contributing to worsening the karma of those people using my food, and am I also worsening my own karma as a result? What kinds of things can people do to help others that are in divine alignment?” What can Creator tell us?

Yours is a timely question, always, because there are always mixed blessings in everything people do. This is because of the widespread inbred corruption everywhere in society. There is almost nothing that has not been corrupted to some extent, so any involvement or contribution to an effort containing a corrupt element will be adding to wrongdoing, at least indirectly. So what we are saying is that, in general, this is built into the system and largely unavoidable. Simply by existing as a taxpayer, you are contributing to wrongdoing of all kinds with your tax money, yet that is forced on you, and that is a corruption and a manipulation as well, but the fact people are oblivious many times to the workings of their government, and the harm it causes even around the world, is not an excuse from the workings of the Law of Karma to reckon with wrongdoing. Everything that happens on your watch will be traced back to you and recorded as such. Your name will be added to the list of many others participating in wrongdoing to whatever extent and at whatever level. So the saving grace here, such as it is, remains that, given it is almost impossible to avoid such entanglements, the state of affairs of your culture is a mitigating factor, so it is important to not overthink this. What happens energetically, via the Law of Karma, is a weighing of an energetic equation and largely working with the net benefit or loss to divinity over time one is adding to or taking away, as the case might be, so each little thing will not bring a reprisal. So keep in mind, if you are donating to a charity, that is a lofty impulse and an act of divinity. If your heart is acting through pure intent, that will outweigh minor transgressions that might occur from use of those funds by others in ways unknown to you. So this is not a yes or no, all-or-nothing factor in terms of one's involvement, it is looking at the overall balance of things, whether you are living a life that contributes more than it takes away, and that will be the largest determining factor in what your karmic fate might be down the line when there is an opportunity to deliver a reckoning to even and balance the scales. At the same time, your awareness, given you have an understanding of the workings of karma, and the complexities involving the world and each individual who participates, means there is a somewhat larger obligation to do your best. But we understand that you cannot spend all of your time trying to vet every little aspect of where every penny of your money goes, as there would be little time left to live if that were an expectation and a requisite for keeping your hands clean, so to speak. So we see your concern as a reflection of your high principles, your caring and compassion, and your divine alignment to begin with in wanting to do well and to do right through your actions. That puts you above the average person who is oblivious to such considerations, and what that means is that your intentions will be purer, richer, and of greater meaning and impact energetically, so you will be winning much more good karma than bad even if you must involve yourself with less than perfect systems, organizations, and individuals. We only expect you to do the best you can within reason. Becoming a fanatic about it will lead to frustration and likely failure because there is little about the world you can change directly. You must live with it nonetheless, and that will ensure compromises will take place at times. If you seek to help, that will greatly outweigh any minor transgressions that are otherwise unavoidable.
