DWQA QuestionsCategory: Extraterrestrial AgendaA viewer asks: “I have heard about sea level rising and some predict that cities by the coast will be underwater by 2050. How serious it this and should I be worried about this? I live close to Seattle and was wondering if this means I should move somewhere inland? I want to believe that anywhere I live you will protect me but I don’t want to be naive and ignore this.”

You have nothing to fear from sea level rise. While this is happening, it is a miniscule change annually, that will nowhere be life-threatening by 2050, other than very low-lying areas where the land is actually sinking and is nearly at sea level already. Such things happen due to geologic changes from the movements of tectonic plates, and so on, but not due to climate change per se. That movement is a corruption and a distortion of things intended specifically to cause fear and alarm that is unwarranted and sinister. So you need not worry about your location putting you in danger from rising sea levels.
