These were, in fact, Reptilians appearing as humanlike but truly living as extraterrestrials, meaning they were in positions of high authority by seizing power and holding onto it. This is a controversial subject because of the great fascination with Egyptian culture, but that is a reflection of all of the human reaction throughout history, of being in awe of those in power, living in a culture where there was a sharp demarcation between the rulers and the followers that somehow seems justified, leaving people in awe of the royalty. To the extent the royal figures have superhuman abilities and power, having awe was not misplaced, but was never fully understood as to the origins and true meaning for such beings having a role in society and controlling things to their liking. It is always, first and foremost, a deception that manipulates people in their thinking because the interlopers never truly share their true origins and agenda they want to bring about.
