A viewer asks: “Are the Detroit Lion’s indeed “cursed,” and what is the origin of that “curse.” How much does the decline of the City of Detroit itself from a prosperous industrial city in the 1950s, to utter shambles, contribute to the atmosphere of losing for the team?”

This is a good example of a curse implemented through a collective consciousness expecting the worst based on past history. Once failure happens again and again and expectations and fears grow that it will continue, that negativity will serve to strengthen the likelihood of that losing streak continuing. As the reputation becomes cemented into the minds of fans and others following a sports league, there will be positive feelings strengthened for the opposing teams in a contest with the perceived loser and much negativity heaped on the team with the losing reputation, and this will add to the headwind the players will experience in winning each and every game because they will be fighting the ramping up of much negative karma from the individual and collective past histories of team members and other personnel supporting their efforts. They are influenced as well by the people around them, including family members, and any interaction they have with the media and with other players. So once a reputation reaches the point of repetition, being associated with a speculation there may be a curse involved, this too is awakening much karma because cursing is a fixture in human culture going back throughout the ages. Many cultural settings had cursing taking place as a routine and it was viewed to be an extremely effective and important factor in success and failure. The belief has carried through to the current day. Even though it seems to be just an anachronism in the language as a relic of past folklore and superstition, the cultural roots of karma go very deep in still carrying within awareness of many prior eras and experiences personally in grappling with cursed situations that were very real and had devastating consequences. So the very idea this kind of thing has taken hold for one’s favorite team will be another tremendous headwind the players must face and somehow make a miracle happen if they want to have a victory and especially if they want to keep a winning streak going. This is easier said than done because this expectation and the fears reinforcing it will, in addition, ramp up personal negative karma from other lifetimes where painful failures were experienced and that energy will rise up within the players as they are being expected to perform and will be a significant liability. Curses can be arranged formally to happen and there may well be those adept in the dark arts adding their negativity to the situation by casting curses on a team they dislike or in fact doing it for hire. We would rather see teams and their management hire practitioners of divine healing and bestow their franchise personnel with Creator’s touch to remove dark influences like spirit attachments, any high level curses, as well as the ordinary psychic attacks simply sent forth by negative thoughts and expectations of those participating and viewing the games as well as deep karmic repair to right the wrongs of the past and free those taking part from an unfortunate karmic history that is a liability and will harm fellow team members inexplicably. It is all unintentional, but there can be positive and meaningful steps taken to create the best possible cleaning and cleansing to provide the best level playing field, so to speak, for a team to do its best and not be hindered by times and places that happened long in the past in parallel lifetimes and truly should have no bearing on the current life experiences except through ignorance. That is a karmic consequence as well and is the reason humanity still struggles with these kinds of issues because people are not being taught how to clean up their personal history and future to prevent a build-up of negativity from these kinds of origins and to shield oneself from new slings and arrows sent via consciousness by opponents and their fans and by doubting, pessimistic followers of their own team and its members.
