Unfortunately, this idea is disinformation. Such discharges are not beneficial but are a function of perturbation of energy within the Sun, and that in turn can be induced by the extraterrestrials themselves at times. They have done much to disturb and damage the Sun, so the Sun itself is very much in need of healing.
