This will be highly variable, as is true of all healing. There are always exceptions, more difficult subjects to reach, because of inner blocks and more challenging karmic dilemmas, where there is such a heavy build-up over so many lifetimes, getting to the end-stage with resolution of symptoms is not in the cards, so to speak, for the current lifetime, but will likely benefit the next. What you are speaking of, is a particularly troubling challenge because your minds are conditioned to believe in genes being the deciding factor in human attributes. So a gene defect seems an absolute deterrent by preventing normal function, no matter what, because things are broken at the foundation of your makeup, or so the science would tell you. As you know, what people believe about their dilemma can be the deciding factor more so than its nature and potential ease of healing, all other things being equal. While a young child does not know about any such phenomena and so is not inherently creating roadblocks to divine healing, if the parents are extremely doubtful and skeptical of the recovery, that might need to be honored, even though they are merely witnesses to an outcome. For that to be a deciding factor in the fate of an innocent child is most unfortunate but it is the same across the board with everything the divine does. The fact there are doubters, skeptics, atheists, and so on, greatly limits what we are able to do out in the open because that is going against the human free will choice to be a disbeliever. It is not that one side is more right and one is more wrong, which alone decides this is. It is a fundamental rule of engagement that is a test of humanity in the experiment underway to see if you can surmount the workings of evil in arranging a divine intervention effectively. Those who believe in us strongly, can indeed work miracles and that includes correcting a genetic defect.
