You are correct that preparation for ascension will take time, and even once things begin will take time as well, because not all will ascend at once. We see that healing can be accomplished within two generations, approximately 40 years, if the extraterrestrials leave for that length of time without launching an annihilation. If that window is arranged, such an interval will allow the ascension to proceed, and be completed over a span of months for the majority who are leaving, because the readiness will have been attained prior to the start of the ascension events proper.
