A client complained to me about the channeling of his higher self, done by another channeler, saying it was “broad generalities and ramblings unrelated to my life…none of the questions were really answered.” She has turned to me for guidance, wondering if her channeling was truly off target for some reason. What can I tell her, and what can I tell him?

This, indeed, was a channeling of his higher self but, as usual, the agenda of the divine realm held sway more so than his personal desires for some details he is curious about. The broad generalities he complains about are important validations and perspectives that constitute divine wisdom and guidance. He might believe these are superficial generalities, but the question this raises is to what extent is he following those broad trajectories? How deeply does he embrace the possibilities and pursue the agendas they imply? Keep in mind, the perspective of divine realm is always one of serving what is highest and best in the needs of the soul, and the details are really up to the individual person during their incarnation, to make their choices and find their way as best they can. For that is the teaching end of things. We cannot lay it out for someone and give them an agenda, nor can we always validate specifics provided by the client if we can see this might lead them to shape things according to the expectations gleaned form our answers. So this individual is confusing some of the channelings from Creator that are detailed and give specific thumbs up and down thumbs down assessments of the workings of the world, but those are generic. They apply in general to the ongoing course of what is taking place and not addressing the desires and intentions of particular individuals. That is where we are the most constrained because anything coming from on high may be embraced and become a manipulation, in effect, by persuading them unduly to move in a particular direction they might not have otherwise. Such actions must always be a choice and never done in feeling an imperative from the divine realm. On occasion, there may be a reminder in the form of a wake-up call and a warning about ongoing circumstances, but that is not typical. So we give this channeler and the channeling itself high marks all around for fulfilling the duty to serve this individual in the way highest and best, even if not meeting his specifications or perceived needs. You have learned with your own channeling that each and every foray to create a dialogue is uncertain as to what will transpire, what might come forth, and the level of detail. Most of the time, we deal in generalities and not specifics. We do not name names. We do not always even indicate motives. We do not always comment on the individual entanglements and participations of people involved in a particular event, but rather the backdrop, in most cases, for your questions, the manipulations of some kind bringing something about, whether it is a cultural phenomenon, news of the day, or the struggle of an individual client with their symptoms. So we would say this individual was blessed by having an encounter with the divine realm and with his higher self, with accuracy and a high purpose in the entire exchange, and would say that a re-listen may be in order with the intent to read between the lines. It is there that you will find the wisdom and the possibilities of growth and change for the better in the form of concepts and ideas that were stated, and that you can embrace more fully for your betterment. So we see that as a valuable exchange, as it is up to the client to make the most of it in obtaining a benefit from its true value.
