Both cats will benefit from this work being considered, for differing reasons. There are multiple issues in play as is common for all physical beings, even animals, especially when there are interactions with human beings. First of all, the elder cat does have increasing discord in the body that is aging related so she is rightly concerned about seeing the signs of this in changes in behavior of the cat and its comfort level. This is both an issue for that animal as well as for the other cat, who is distressed by seeing the other cat struggling. So there are also karmic interactions with the owner, as usually happens, because companion animals are very dedicated and will follow the energy of the humans around them quite closely and often internalize and focus on the human negativity, and this can be a liability for a companion animal to handle on its own. That is not the best way to help heal another being but often is done by animals as a kind of personal approach that they do not know how to do better. So what we are saying is this is no one’s fault, only the inevitably there are crosscurrents and cross influences among people and their companion animals, inevitably, and a good cleanup would be helpful in alleviating this as any sort of potential liability.
The issue of hanging on is real and that is as human judgment that will have to be made because it goes with the territory in being responsible for one's pets. So we encourage her to be as dispassionate as she can with respect to her personal feelings of affection, to honor her beloved pet through doing what is highest and best. The thing to realize is animals do not fear their transition, nor do they usually struggle. It is almost always seamless unless the animal has been traumatized in some way and this is very similar to what happens with people. Animals are better at healing themselves on an ongoing basis, so it is just less common for them to end up deeply in trouble at the end of their lives, compared to people, but it happens. As always, healing will be beneficial. The provisions of the Lightworker Healing Protocol to prepare the cats for their eventual transition will ensure a smooth passage to the light because that is requested to happen, and so extra help and attention is given if need be when the client helped with the Protocol reaches that turning point in their journey. This can help also to some extent with the behavior of the younger cat and its aggressiveness. So time will tell how that goes, whether a single session will bring about a visible benefit, but over time things should improve if that does not come quickly.
