A client asks: “I have been told that playing with a Ouija board is like opening the “shop door” to let in the djiin demons that might be lined up outside waiting for the first opportunity to step in. Are Ouija boards a danger for attracting these spirit meddlers?”

This is very much the case. What one is doing is asking a question of the beyond. This is an open invitation to outside consciousness to step forward and when a spirit meddler responds and begins answering questions, this begins to create a karmic entanglement and, in actuality, a quantum entanglement of energies. This is the first step to spirit possession—the acceptance of an outside energy to allow its penetration and the great curiosity and desire to know more and to truly connect sets the intention of openness and allowance both. It is a welcoming handshake and that may well be enough to invite the spirit in entirely and then it will not leave. If during a lucid dream or any other dream state there is a desire to reach outward, this can set up the same scenario and will, in fact, be even more effective because it is the deeper subconscious levels of the mind that have the intuitive reach and are most visible to the outside realms and so spirit possession is very, very likely to follow. This is less likely to happen when in a fully conscious mode but can happen then as well because it is signaling the subconscious its intentions, and then the subconscious will obey to make the outreach happen and to open the door wide so to speak.
