It is most often the case there is a strong karmic component, both in the makeup of the individual presupposing them to vulnerability for this malady as well as its onset and rapidity in gaining a hold over the person and limiting them. That karmic prologue is a trauma of some kind and may in fact be a reckoning needed to rebalance wrongdoing or a personal failing, which can include vulnerability to illness among the many ways we let ourselves down at times, not being truly ready for what comes along and then falling victim to the manipulations of another or making missteps and mistakes that put us in harm’s way for an accident or illness to overtake us, and so on.
So each situation will have unique characteristics because no two lives are identical. There is in many cases a prelife arrangement to have vulnerability to serious illnesses of a chronic nature, including dementia, because there is a karmic predisposition needing to be addressed and so it is often better to face that obligation and get it over with rather than have it always looming in the background, and capable of striking at the worst possible time to prevent something else from taking place that is quite urgently needed and quite important within the conduct of a lifetime underway. As you might imagine, this planning is not always perfect and the timing of things will not be always ideal, and of course it will be perceived differently by the experiencer whose life experience will be constrained and likely shortened by a debilitating fatal illness than would be the case for the higher self or Creator in seeing the overall greater benefit for that individual to undergo the karmic lesson and payback because the learning will be profound from having done so, and their perspective will appreciate the long-term benefits not yet witnessable by the person incarnated who is going through the trials and tribulations of the karmic consequence.
