This indeed was a beautiful illustration of karma and the example of the glove that fits the hand, where the two warring parties came together to fulfill a karmic destiny, the one coming from the animal side needing to survive and needing prey in order to do so, and in a state of starvation prepared to do desperate acts, including taking on armed humans in a direct confrontation. The human side of the equation was the karmic energies created by their bloodlust and wanting to destroy in a savage way the enemy they hate, and the energy of hatred and thoughts of power and control in being personally responsible for the death and suffering of others, brought a karmic consequence to them in having the animals find their way to this group of soldiers and take them on. This is truly a parallel to the biblical injunction that “he who lives by the sword shall die by the sword” and is a good example of the balancing within nature to satisfy the needs of karma. Nothing is wasted. There is always a side benefit to the exchange in some way, and this is how things proceed and grow and seek to expand, and how the universe progresses.
